Software Engineer - Norwich

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing development team.Pickr is building a revolutionary Workforce Management and Recruitment tool to allow companies to break away from the age old traditional Recruitment agency.We are building our application using React (Javascript) as the frontend and are refactoring our legacy PHP application to act as purely an API, with a view to further refactoring into a Node based microservice architecture.What are your responsibilities?Write “clean”, well-designed codeTroubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionalityContribute in all phases of the development lifecycleFollow industry best practicesDevelop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessaryWillingness to use / learn PHP to assist with maintaining our legacy system whilst we transition to our new Javascript systemsAbility to learn and develop new skills quicklyWhat we generally looking for in a Software Engineer?Proven software development experienceUnderstanding of open source projects like React, Angular. Laravel is a bonus.Demonstrable knowledge of the latest web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript (ES6), AJAX etcGood knowledge of version control tools and of developing web servicesExperience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideasWhat Benefits you’ll get in the role -Competitive salary, up to £40,000 per annum dependent on experienceInvestment in personal Training & Development
