ISO certification defines that a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure has all the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance.
They highlight our commitment and capability to quality and consistency when it comes to the work we do, helping businesses deliver major infrastructure projects by changing the way they build and empower their delivery teams.
Fun fact, ISO 9001 is the most widely recognised quality management system standard in the world. It demonstrates our commitment to ensuring Pickr’s tech will consistently meet our partners requirements.
A great example of this would be Validate IQ. Validate IQ is Pickr’s managed service assistant. It’s an automated feature that is designed to get work signed off and approved at scale, while helping identify potential improvements and training needs.
Images of completed works uploaded by our contractors are analysed and given an IQ score. This system can then flag up exceptions for consideration with compliance teams, saving hours in admin. A machine learning feature, Validate IQ becomes more adept at identifying, analysing and evaluating completed works with every image uploaded.
ISO 45001 is the world’s international standard for occupational health and safety. This is an important one for us because health and safety is never a choice for Pickr, our people or partners, it’s a priority. Everyone has a right to get home safe.
We’ve taken great care to ensure our app is jam-packed with health and safety features to engage our community of contractors. That goes from ensuring our health and safety policy (which covers things like risk assessments and method statements) are easily accessible, to our bite-sized chunks of best practice in Safe-Tea Break, or in-app video series.
Pickr’s latest release also included Watchman, a feature which will alert us if contractors are unable to mark themselves as safely arriving on site. If we can’t get in contact with them, we’ll raise the alarm.
The ISO 14001 certification helps businesses reduce their environmental impact. We’ve drawn up an environmental management system that has set our long- and short-term environmental aims outlined as a business.
As a tech-led organisation, we’re well placed to minimise our waste. That includes facilitating a paperless office, recycling and reducing our carbon footprint where possible by extending remote working to our team.
These are just some of the initiatives we’ve engaged with to secure ISO certification across these areas. If you’d like to learn more about what we’re doing to build on a foundation of success please feel free to reach out to our Head of Assurance, Michael Rennie.
